the anxious brain

THE BRIEF
Parkinson’s UK wanted to shine a spotlight on anxiety as one of the most invasive, lesser known symptoms of Parkinson’s disease – through a bold, cross-platform campaign to go along with their new Instagram launch.

THE IDEA
Inspired by the anxiety caused by hyper-connectivity in the digital age, Davide persuaded the charity to hijack their own ads – turning the brain into an intrusive app that constantly sends out notifications of worry.

A series of eye-catching visuals were created to disrupt the audience’s social feeds, giving them a glimpse of how Parkinson’s affects many people’s daily lives.

The Anxious Brain campaign launched at the end of May 2018 and was rolled out with a series of Instagram Ads and Facebook In-Stream – both new channels for Parkinson’s UK.
A series of digital posters were also run in busy shopping centres and train stations across London, to convey how anxiety can occur in these everyday situations.
